The club runs a number of workshops and social learning based activities throughout the year, both hand building and wheel based. Some workshops are opened to the general public, they are advertised on the club’s facebook page. Members can make bookings via the calendar page in helloclub
Handmade Platter Workshop

Carved Clay Cheeseboards & Platters – Hand building Workshop
Sunday - 26/10/2025
Cost; $80
In this 3.5-hour workshop, you’ll learn to create your own functional and decorative clay cheese board or platter using hand building techniques.
We’ll begin with a step-by-step demonstration, then guide you through rolling and shaping your slab, adding carved or textured details, and refining your final form. You’ll be encouraged to personalise your piece with patterns, textures or features like
handles, feet or hanging holes.
This is a relaxed and beginner-friendly workshop that still gives you plenty of opportunity to explore your own style. It’s perfect for anyone wanting to create a functional piece that’s great for entertaining or gifting.
Once your piece is complete, it will be bisque fired, clear glazed and glaze fired. You’ll be notified when it’s ready to collect — usually within 3 to 4 weeks of the workshop.

Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can begin on time.
Clay and tools will be provided.

Beginner Wheel Throwing Workshop – 2-Part Weekend Series
Ever wanted to try your hand at the pottery wheel?
Saturday - 25/10/25 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Sunday - 26/10/25 1:30 pm- 5:30 pm
Cost $240
This two-part beginner workshop is the perfect way to dive in — no experience needed!
Session 1 (Saturday) will focus on throwing on the wheel. We'll begin with a full demonstration, guiding you through each step of the process. You'll then get the chance to create your own pieces, with plenty of guidance and one-on-one help available
throughout.
Session 2 (Sunday) is all about trimming. You'll return to refine the pieces you made the day before,
shaping them into functional forms. The session will start with a demo and you'll be supported throughout as you work on your pieces.
Once your pieces are finished, they’ll be bisque fired, clear glazed, and glaze fired. You’ll be notified when they’re ready to collect — typically within 3 to 4 weeks of the workshop.

Mega Mug Workshop

Come along to this beginners workshop where you'll learn how to make a large mug, using hand building technique of slab work.

Cup and Textured Plate

Join us for a hands-on hand building workshop where you’ll design and build a custom ceramic mug set, using pinch method and slab work.
Cost; $125
Perfect for beginners, creatives, or anyone who loves a slow moment with tea or coffee.
You can make either a tea cup or coffee mug !
Pinch it and sip it!!
You'll use a white hand building clay and it includes bisque firing.

Cancellation policy
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the workshop date will forfeit 50% of the fee. Those made less than 2 days before forfeit 100% of the fee. Bookings can be transferred at no cost.
We can reschedule your booking to an alternative date or workshop with 8 days or more notice.
We reserve the right to cancel a workshop if the minimum booking is not achieved. Full refunds will be given or a replacement workshop offered to the same value of the workshop being cancelled. You will be notified at least 2 days before the scheduled date of the workshop if deemed necessary.
If the attendee does not attend a workshop and does not advise in writing beforehand no refund will apply.
If we need to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances (eg tutor illness) we will give you a full refund or transfer you to another suitable workshop.
In the event of a cancellation, the transaction fee paid on helloClub will become the liability of the canceller, ie if the club cancels a workshop then they will refund the transaction fee. If the member cancels then they won’t be refunded the fee.
